Hand carved and unique.
A menagerie of 30 hand-carved wooden animals and chariots, the carousel was brought to life by
Jennie Butchart’s great-granddaughter
and current owner of The Gardens,
Robin-Lee Clarke, in 2009.
Loved by children and adults alike, the domed Children’s Pavilion and Rose Carousel house
year-round and welcome kids of all ages for a ride!
Can I change my return time?
Absolutely! Please call us if you know ahead of time or advise your driver at pick- up. We reserve seats and sometimes we are already fully booked on the return, so always best to let us know when you know, we will always try our best. 250-477-3322
What if I don't show up for my return ride?
We are on a strict schedule and you will be considered a no-show. Your ticket is void if you have not confirmed or contacted us prior.
We do try to find you in the crowds but remember others on tour are waiting to see your smiling face at departure time.
How much time should you allow?
Well, that's a tricky question.
..most visits are 2.5 hours, our tour times have this in mind, others could stay all day, let us know.
Maybe this will help…
Allow a minimum of 1 hour to slowly stroll the gardens, add time if you must smell every flower and take pictures...many many pictures.
(no selfie sticks remember)
Now you're probably hungry? The gardens offers everything from coffee, soup and hotdogs in the coffee shop to fine dining in the original family home.
If you desire the fine dining experience, this would include Afternoon Tea, allow 1.5 hours for this experience.
Remember to save time for the gift shop, even if you claim not to be a shopper do not under estimate time here. Something for all interests, ages and budgets.
Staff are happy to ship your purchases home, saving you from checking that extra luggage.
So...most garden visitors are happy with 2.5 hour options.
However, come summer why not stay the evening to enjoy the music on the lawns and Fireworks Saturday we stay till the end.
Still not sure? Ask your driver/guide, maybe that will help make up your mind...and we promise it will be fabulous.
Remember the drive to the gardens also takes approx.. 45 min by the time you're inside the gates.
